About the role
As VP of Capital Markets & Finance, you will lead all financial functions at Energy Company, combining capital raising with internal financial operations. On the capital markets side, you will structure and execute tax equity transactions, build relationships with investors and financial partners, optimize our solar asset portfolio, and deploy capital efficiently across projects. On the finance side, you will oversee financial reporting, FP&A, budgeting, and accounting. You will build a world-class finance team and establish the processes and systems to support Energy Company's rapid growth. This role reports directly to leadership and is critical to our ability to scale nationwide.
Requirements
- 10+ years finance experience with 5+ years in renewable energy or project finance
- Proven experience structuring and closing tax equity transactions
- Strong knowledge of ITC, depreciation, and partnership tax structures
- Experience managing investor relationships and capital raising
- Advanced financial modeling skills (project finance, portfolio valuation)
- Experience building and scaling finance teams and operations
- Strong understanding of PPA/lease structures and solar asset economics
- Experience with financial reporting, FP&A, and accounting oversight
- CPA, CFA, or MBA preferred
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field required
